A historic observatory reconnecting science, technology, space and people.
History is not a closed chapter. It is coming back to life.
One of the most remarkable university research stations of its time arose on the southern slope of the Ore Mountains. It observed variable stars and measured precise time, solar radiation, weather and the Earth’s magnetic field.
Today we continue that legacy through contemporary projects — from stratospheric missions and seismology to a community determined to bring science back to Liboňov.
